Brian Worthen invested in a nascent Internet Service Provider named Visionary Communications in 2001, working to develop the company’s broadband portfolio in Wyoming. Visionary was the first provider to develop broadband Internet in Buffalo, Cody, Gillette, Newcastle, Ranchester, Rawlins, Sundance and Wright, Wyoming.
In his time at Visionary, Worthen has led broadband builds in 122 cities, towns and unincorporated places in Colorado, Montana and Wyoming. Brian and his team have built fiber in towns as small as LaGrange, Wyoming to cities the size of Casper and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Worthen also serves on the Board of INCOMPAS, a DC-based group that represents competitive broadband builders across the United States.
Worthen graduated from the University of Wyoming with a bachelor's degree in Small Business Management, with an emphasis on Finance. Worthen grew up in the family motorcoach business, learning the entrepreneurial spirit and later growing a business headquartered in Gillette, Wyoming.
