Carsi Mitzner is Director, Government Affairs and Public Policy for Brightspeed, working on the company’s government affairs and regulatory efforts on the state, local, and federal levels. Previously, Carsi worked at the Public Utility Commission of Texas as an advising attorney and advisor to the chairman, and also served as counsel in roles in both houses of the Texas Legislature. Carsi is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center and the University of Texas at Austin. She also serves on the boards of the Texas Broadband Association, the Public Utility Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, and the Texas Telephone Association Foundation and enjoys being a mentor with the Pink Granite Foundation. She lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and two children.
