Marcus Moffett is the Vice President of Solutions Engineering for Cisco Americas and a 24-year veteran of Cisco Systems. He and his team of SE Leaders, Principal and Distinguished SEs, and SEs are responsible for discovering customer business, mission requirements and designing a secure, intelligent platform to support the digital business journey of Cisco’s customers directly and through partners. This business is worth more than $30B annually to Cisco.
He served in the US Air Force, where he spent more than eight years as a Tech Controller at Clark Airbase in the Philippines & Gunter AFB in Montgomery, Alabama. Marc was an Air Force Honor Graduate and Clark Air Base (AB) 1961st Communications Unit Airman of the Year in 1990. In addition, he was awarded the AF Commendation Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters and an AF Achievement Medal as one of the Clark Air Base Ash Warriors who volunteered to stay behind to sustain base communications and decommission Clark AB after its destruction by the Mt. Pinatubo volcanic eruption.
Marc is a featured speaker at Scoop News Group, GovExec, FedScoop, and GovTech on topics relative to technology in Government, including IT Modernization, Cloud, Cybersecurity and Leadership.
Giving back is essential, he serves as Cisco Executive Sponsor for Cyberpatriot, working with Habitat for Humanity, Natchez Stewpot and Cisco VETS-Employee Resource Organization.
Marc lives in Tennessee with his wife, Christelle Gigant and their dog Lola. Marc enjoys spending time on the family farm in Mississippi restoring a historic 1870s-era home & various conservation projects. He is a proud dad to his son Caleb who attends St. Louis University Medical School and grandfather to granddaughters Mayce & Harley. Marc loves the outdoors, where he spends time on conservation initiatives, hiking, hunting & fishing
