David E. Altig is executive vice president and chief economic adviser at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Altig is a fellow and past president of the National Association for Business Economics. In addition, he is a member of the National Business Economics Issues Council, serves on the advisory council of the Global Interdependence Center and its College of Central Bankers, and is on the board of the Konstanz Seminar on Monetary Theory and Policy.
He has published research in several prominent professional journals. Before joining the Atlanta Fed in August 2007, Altig served as vice president and associate director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and has been has been an adjunct faculty member at a number universities.
