Rebecca Dilg serves as the director of the Utah Broadband Center for the state of Utah. Her previous experience includes serving in county government, where she held dual roles as executive secretary to the commission and economic development director. Recruited by the state as the rural outreach manager to stand up and administer a rural jobs growth grant, she also coordinated the state’s broadband expansion efforts focusing on connectivity in rural Utah for economic opportunities. As the broadband director, she launched the state’s first broadband infrastructure grant program, connecting over 3,000 rural homes to high-speed, fiber-optic internet.
Today, the broadband office is an eight-person team managing nearly $340 million in federal broadband infrastructure deployment and digital access funds, ensuring every Utahn can access high-speed internet.
