Isak Finer – Chief Revenue Officer, COS Systems
Isak Finer is the Chief Revenue Officer at COS Systems, an innovative software company headquartered in Umeå, Sweden—the birthplace of one of the world’s first community-owned fiber optic networks, deployed in 1994. Since then, COS has been at the forefront of the FTTx industry, delivering cutting-edge software solutions for planning, building, and operating fiber networks.
Isak joined COS in 2013 as Chief Marketing Officer, spearheading the launch of COS Service Zones, a cloud-based demand aggregation platform that introduced the now widely adopted “fiberhood” approach. Under his leadership, COS has successfully delivered over 200 demand aggregation projects and supports the operations of more than 200 fiber networks globally through its product suite.
Today, COS Systems is recognized for its robust end-to-end platform, COS Business Engine, which supports all business models—from vertically integrated ISPs to wholesale and Open Access networks. In recent years, the company has expanded its global footprint, particularly in North America, where its solutions play a key role in driving broadband deployment and supporting community-focused initiatives.
With a deep understanding of network economics, demand aggregation strategies, and scalable software for fiber network operations, Isak is a frequent speaker and panelist at international industry conferences, sharing insights from both strategic and operational perspectives.
Prior to COS, Isak held roles in business development and sales management at several global companies, with experience spanning market analysis and strategic growth. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management, specializing in IT-Based Business Development from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. Additionally, he has pursued academic studies in economics and entrepreneurship at Uppsala University, Stanford University, and the University of California, Berkeley.
