Radisys Corporation, a global leader in open telecom solutions and services, and active participant in Broadband Forum with SDN and NetConf/Yang Interoperability and conformance per TR-413 and WT-414, and Cloud CO framework per TR-384i2, is proposing to do a joint PoC of Multi-Tenant, Multi-Access Wholesale Wireline Connectivity with Zoom Technology Group.
The greatest challenge today for large scale Network Fiber Operators (NFOs) and independent Internet Service Providers (ISPs) is the coordination and management in a regulatory environment that requires Open Access. Many cities, counties or states may require Open Access as a condition to right-of-way access for fiber optics infrastructure or pole attachments for wireless antennas. The barrier to entry for new ISPs or value-added resellers may be cost prohibited.
As part of the Radisys sponsored PoC, Zoom Technology will show the VelocityX Multi-Access OSS/BSS platform that offers End-to-End (E2E) management of wired access FTTx OLTs and ONTs and subscriber WiFi management and user experience of ONTs and Access Points. Through open, Restful APIs available with Radisys CBAC RMS and third-party ACS, the PoC of VelocityX will demonstrate a wholesale provisioning platform where a NFO or neutral-host operator can administrate multiple ISPs, each who are directly selling services to subscribers.
Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology, the provisioning and enablement of services to different ISPs will be shown, with control of different network elements and flow-through automation. Broadband Forum concepts of First Sign of Life Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) per WT-474 and WiFi Quality of Experience (QoE) per TR-369 USP will be demonstrated. Radisys believes the empowerment of multiple ISPs able to deliver high value services will change how many communities will be serviced by broadband access.
Key Highlights:
1. Provisioning and telemetry of multi-vendor network elements
2. Value creation through a multi-tenant, multi-access platform for NFRs and ISPs
3. Single-pane of glass display and management of a whole-sale network.
4. Combined broadband access and subscriber WiFi QoE as End-to-End solution
