VP of Sales Logic Networks TAMPA, Florida, United States
Logic Networks is a major contributor to the secondary market, providing new and used hardware to large and small service providers and RBOC's across the US, Canada, and the Caribbean. This presentation will be focused on the products and services that are now available from companies that have been described as resellers or secondary market vendors in the past and the diversification and expansion of the product portfolio.
These changes encompass the networking hardware products in refurbished condition that have historically been sold to now including new equipment and direct channel relationships with manufacturers. Change is occurring across the industry as resellers look to benefit from government programs and decrease the exposure to software enabled features that limit the resale options.
The sale of used equipment remains a major product line for most resellers and these companies are still valuable partners in that space for specific platforms and products. Along with those new OEM relationships, refurbished vendors are also diversifying to include OSP equipment and Network Services to their customer base. Technical teams have been assembled and sales engineering added as resellers adapt to current market conditions and offer these needed services to customers. Many have embraced network monitoring, network management, and high-level engineering. Most continue to work with service providers in these new areas to remain useful and relevant while pushing our industry forward in a cost efficient and responsible way. Many factors have contributed to the growth and development of the reseller community. It has been the goal of improving connectivity across all domains that has brought about these changes rapidly and created these new opportunities and partnerships to be realized.
