Awards Nominations


The Fiber Broadband Association is pleased to host the Annual FBA Awards Luncheon at Fiber Connect 2025, on Monday, June 2nd, 2025. Recognize the best and the brightest in our industry and see the great work being done at the company, community, and individual levels.

2025 Fiber Broadband Association Awards


Chairman's Award

The Chairman’s Award singles out an individual or company that has shown tremendous effort to promote, educate, or accelerate fiber-to-the-home. (Nominations not accepted, selected by Board Chair)


Star

The Star Award recognizes a person, community, or company that has gone above and beyond what is expected in the advancement of fiber to the home. (Nominations reviewed by FBA Board for Selection)


Photon

The Photon Award recognizes a Fiber Broadband Association member who, through their volunteer contribution, has demonstrated a high level of dedication to the organization and contribution to the industry. (Nominations reviewed by FBA Board)


Gene Scott Award

The Gene Scott Education Award recognizes a person, community, or institution that has provided significant impact on the advancement of education in the fiber industry. (Nominations reviewed by FBA Education Committee)


Fiber Under Forty

Designed to recognize the individuals born in 1986 or later that are having an impact on their companies, or the industry, far beyond their years. (Finalists selected by FBA Conference Committee, winner selected by FBA Senior Council)


Women Changing Fiber for Good

Focused on women that are making changes that will be felt for years to come and second, uncovered how they are making the industry better. (Finalists selected by FBA Conference Committee, winner selected by FBA Senior Council)


Advocacy Allstars

Recognize the individuals working to advance the agenda of the fiber broadband industry on the state and federal level. (Finalists selected by FBA Conference Committee, winner selected by FBA Senior Council)


Community Impact

Centered on fiber broadband projects that are enabling communities and changing lives in communities across North America. (Finalists selected by FBA Conference Committee, winner selected by FBA Senior Council)


Product Innovation

Showcasing technology innovation and advancement that expands fiber broadband’s ability to deliver the services customers demand today and over the next decade. (Finalists selected by FBA Conference Committee, winner selected by FBA Senior Council)


Light It Up

Highlighting the teams that are working together to support community broadband fiber network expansion, including construction, planning, integration, and planning. (Finalists selected by FBA Conference Committee, winner selected by FBA Senior Council)


Constellation

Celebrating the individual companies that came together to form a coalition that helped advance fiber broadband networks across communities, states, and regions. (Finalists selected by FBA Conference Committee, winner selected by FBA Senior Council)


Nominations

Nominations are open as of March 1st, and will close April 30th. Nominations submitted for each category, person, or company, must be part of an FBA member company. Finalists will be notified on May 10th. Award recipients will be announced at Fiber Connect 2025, on June 2nd, at the Awards Luncheon.

Award Selection Process

The Chairman’s Award is selected by the FBA’s Board Chair. All other awards are chosen from nominations. Nominations will open March 1st and close April 30th. The Fiber Broadband Association’s Board and Committees will review nominee submissions and select finalists. FBA Senior Advisors will review the finalists and select winners based on the criteria of the awards. Winners will be announced at the Awards Luncheon on June 2nd, 2025.

All Fiber Network Provider Accreditation

The accreditation is given to Fiber Broadband Association members who demonstrate a high-level of strategic commitment to all fiber deployment by ensuring 90% or more of their networks rely on fiber optic infrastructure.Learn More for how to apply. All newly accredited members will be recognized at the awards luncheon.
